If you’ve yet to try it, we suggest you add it to your shortlist for serious consideration. Serre-Chevalier is, in fact, a run of several small, traditional villages set along north-west, south-east valley not far from Grenoble. It takes its collective name from the majestic mountain range which provides a scenic backdrop to this scenic valley. There is an interesting mix of tree lined runs as well as plenty of wide open slopes and bowls; a total of 120kms of skiing for all standards. With many slopes facing north or north-east, Serre Chevalier has an excellent snow record.
